Flycell Revenue Up 26 Percent in First Half of 2010

Strong Q2 2010 revenue continues streak of consecutive quarters with double digit growth as Cristian Carnevale is tapped to lead company

Flycell

Flycell, Inc. (www.Flycell.com), a leading mobile and online entertainment content company, today announced quarterly financial results for Q2 2010, indicating the company continues to have strong sales in mobile and digital content. Despite new North American and European mobile commerce regulations that took effect in the second quarter in both markets, creating conditions that negatively impact revenue across the mobile content industry, Flycell reported revenue of $36.4 million for the three months ending June 30, 2010. Combined with the company’s Q1 results, Flycell’s first half revenue figure for 2010 stands at $76.2 million, up 26 percent over the first half of 2009.

Flycell also announced the appointment of Cristian Carnevale as its CEO. Mr. Carnevale previously served as Flycell’s chief operating officer, a position he has held since Flycell was founded in 2004, and has been instrumental in leading the company through years of consistently strong revenue growth and international expansion. Mr. Carnevale, who replaced Alberto Montesi in August, has served in several executive positions with Flycell’s parent company, Acotel Group, including as its chief technology officer. He also played a key role in the company’s successful IPO in 2000.

“Changes in business conditions in important countries in which Flycell operates impacted Flycell’s revenue in Q2 2010, masking our continued growth,” said Mr. Carnevale. “Although revenue is down slightly from the previous quarter and same quarter last year, we at Flycell continue to expand our customer base. Flycell is a nimble organization and is adapting quickly to changes in business conditions. The company is looking forward to continuing its strong revenue throughout the year, making 2010 its most successful year ever.”

Flycell took in just over $36.4 million in revenue in Q2 2010 as compared to $39.6 million earned in Q2 2009. Last quarter Flycell reported $39.8 million in revenue, the company’s strongest first quarter to-date, giving the company H1 2010 revenue of $76.2 million compared with $60.5 million earned in the first six months of 2009.

Q1 Q2 H1 Fiscal Year
2010 Flycell Revenue ($Millions) $39.8 $36.4 $76.2 $76.2 YTD*
2009 Flycell Revenue ($Millions) $20.9 $39.6 $60.5 $146.3
Percentage increase 2010 over 2009 90.4% (8.1%) 26%

Flycell Launches Mobile Content Service in South Africa

Flycell Grows International Presence by Bringing the Largest Online Catalog of Mobile Content to South Africa

Flycell

Flycell, Inc. (www.flycell.com), a leading mobile and online entertainment content company, today announced availability of a new edition of its portal created especially for the South African market. South Africa is the tenth country to gain its own version of the award-winning mobile content service. The website, now live at www.flycell.co.za, features some of the best and most exciting mobile entertainment content.

South Africans love their mobile phones. A March 2010 study by the research firm Synovate found that 84 percent of South Africans “cannot live without their cell phones.” The study also found that 71 percent of South African mobile phone users play mobile games and 66 percent listen to music on their phones. These statistics are particularly significant since less than 10 percent of South Africans use landlines whereas nearly 80 percent use mobile phones. These conditions make South Africa a perfect market for the mobile entertainment and content provided by Flycell.

Flycell now brings South African consumers today’s hottest ringtones as well as exciting new wallpapers, games, applications and other mobile media from today’s most popular mobile publishers. The new Flycell website serves as a one-stop-shop for South Africa’s mobile subscribers, offering them everything they need to personalize their cell phones with the latest in mobile media and entertainment, all in one easy-to-use online portal. Flycell’s service works on virtually every mobile phone and with every carrier throughout South Africa.

Flycell delivers mobile entertainment and personalization on the fly to customers all across the globe. Whether it is ringtones, wallpapers, applications or games, everything people in South Africa need for their personalized mobile lifestyle is available on the Flycell website, www.flycell.co.za.

Flycell Completes Most Successful Year in Company History

Fourth quarter financial results shows company nearly doubled annual revenue despite global economic downturn

Flycell

Flycell, Inc. (www.flycell.com), a leading mobile and online entertainment content company, today announced quarterly and annual financial results citing 2009 as the most successful year in the company’s history, nearly doubling is annual revenue over 2008, and growing fourth quarter revenue by an impressive 153 percent over the same quarter in 2008.  Despite the economic downturn, Flycell consistently reported double-digit growth throughout 2009, including growth in each of its existing countries of operation.

“Flycell continues to grow our business in multiple directions,” said Flycell CEO Alberto Montesi.  “Having learned from our experience in bringing popular entertainment services tailored for specific geographies, Flycell is now in a position to easily replicate our services in new markets, while still providing the digital content that is locally relevant.  Even as we add new markets we continue to grow the catalog of content and services Flycell provides. The ability to grow both markets and content is due in large part to the continued growth of our subscriber base in each market.  Looking out to 2010, we plan to bring more innovative entertainment services that our subscribers can use both on their mobile phones and online.”

Flycell’s parent company Acotel Group (MIL: ACO) reported Flycell took in over $43 million in revenue in Q4 2009 as compared to $17 million earned in Q4 2008.  Last quarter Flycell also reported $43 million in revenue, giving the company revenue of $146 million for the 2009 fiscal year.   By comparison, Flycell reported 75 million in revenue for the 2008 fiscal year.  Flycell finished 2009 with revenue in excess of 95 percent greater than 2008.

In its 2009 annual report, Flycell’s parent company Acotel, stated that “within the services segment (€127.5 million), the largest portion of revenues (€104.9 million) was generated by the B2C services provided by the US subsidiary, Flycell Inc.”

Q3 Q4 Fiscal Year
2009 Flycell Revenue ($Millions) $43 $43 $146
2008 Flycell Revenue ($Millions) $23 $17 $75
Percentage increase 2009 over 2008 105% 87% 95%

* Flycell’s Fiscal Year is the same as the calendar year.

Flycell’s consistently strong quarterly growth throughout 2009 in the face of a global economic recession continues to prove the digital entertainment industry is a hot sector.

The 2009 financial results capped off an incredibly busy year for the company.  In 2009 Flycell opened new international markets including Mexico and Argentina, and launched new services including the popular games SMS Love and Bid Hunter.  The company also expanded its presence in Web-based entertainment by creating the online casual games portal Gamorama (www.gamorama.com) which launched this past February.

Alberto Montesi was also recognized for his leadership, being named a finalist in the International Business Awards and Most Visionary Consumer Services Executive of 2009 by the Mobile Star Awards.
