Simply follow Tubaloo on Twitter (http://twitter.com/tubaloo) and we’ll send you a direct message with an invite code and instructions to get you started. Can it be any easier than that?

We’re just a few days into our private beta, and have been very pleased that hundreds of people have downloaded and started using Tubaloo! In fact, we had to give out new invites to a couple of the blogs that are offering invite codes to their readers.

In addition to our invite code, tubaloo1, you can find invite codes at the following Android blogs:

Droiddog (USA)

and.roid.es (España)

And thank you to all the Tubaloo users who are joining us on Twitter (twitter.com/tubaloo). Many of you have been posting your Tubaloo #s so that other users can connect with you over Wi-Fi or 3G for free. We appreciate your spirit!

Wow! We are off to a great start on the Tubaloo private beta. Yesterday we announced the opening of our private beta and offered an invite code in our press release and here on our blog: tubaloo1.

Other Android blogs covered our news and offered their own invite codes. The rush to download Tubaloo was so great, we ran out of invites on the codes that we gave out and had to add more invites!

On Day One of the private beta we had users in the United States, Spain, France, United Kingdom, Chile, Japan and beyond all making calls on Tubaloo. If you’re using Tubaloo, be sure to keep reading this blog and follow us on Twitter – twitter.com/tubaloo – to get important updates.

If you want to try Tubaloo, you can once again use the tubaloo1 invite code. But if that has run out of invitations, visit your favorite Android blog and see if they have invites. If they don’t, send them a message and we’ll set them up with an invite code. If you write about Android and want to review our beta and offer your readers an invite code, contact tubaloo@mobilitypr.com.

You can find invites at:

Droiddog (USA)

and.roid.es (España)

FrAndroid (France)

Once you get your code, follow these instructions to install and begin using Tubaloo:

Go to http://m.tubaloo.com and enter your invite code

Once the code is accepted the free Tubaloo application (tubaloo.apk) will download

Click on the application and it will walk you through the typical Android installation process

After installation, open the application and it guide you in setting up your Tubaloo account

After the account is created, the application is used merely for setting preferences (such as placing calls over 3G or Wi-Fi, or using the inbound call back feature). It’s really just a few checkboxes and you’re off and running.

Once installed, start making calls the way you always have, using the Android dialer.

Also listen to what the panel had to say about Tubaloo on the AndroidGuys podcast (#24).

Our aim is to give you control of your calling, including how much you pay for long distance and international calls. We built a voice over Internet calling service that works with your phone, not as a separate application you have to switch on in order to call. When you place calls over our service, you use the Android dialer, just like you do for every call you’re making now. The difference is what we do behind the scenes and in the background. Does it work? We’ve been testing it on Android phones all over the world — some without SIM cards — and have been making high quality calls. Calls to landline and mobile phones will be a lot cheaper than you’re paying now. And calls between Tubaloo users are always free.

Want to hear what a VoIP call placed over 3G sounds like? We’re the first service to offer that on Android, so come check us out.

The Tubaloo service is in private beta, so you’ll need an invite. Some Android blogs will be offering readers invites, so check your favorite blogs and see if they have invites. If not, ask them to get invites and we’ll quickly get them some.

If you’re quick, you may be able to use our code, tubaloo1, to get the Tubaloo app. Here are the instructions:

Go to http://m.tubaloo.com and enter the code tubaloo1.

Read our press release on MobilityWire to get more details.

Specifically, they are facilitating the use of 3G data networks for the purpose of IP phone calls – a task that usually requires multiple apps and hacking.”
